FBI Citizens Academy Program (CAP)

To further enhance the understanding of its vital role, the FBI offers its CAP to business, religious, civic, and community leaders to provide participants with an inside look at the FBI's operations, responsibilities, mission, and priorities.

  • The FBI CAP is an educational initiative designed to enhance the relationship between the FBI and the communities it serves.
  • Through a series of interactive sessions, community members are invited to engage directly with FBI personnel, gaining insights into the agency's operations, investigative techniques, and challenges.
  • Participants learn about various aspects of law enforcement, including counterterrorism, cyber threats, and forensic science, while also having the opportunity to ask questions.
  • This program seeks to demystify the FBI's work and foster a deeper understanding of the complexities of national security.

FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association

With a foundational understanding of the Citizens Academy’s (CA) role in bridging the gap between the FBI and the community, attention now shifts to the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association (CAAA). Upon successful completion of the program, alumni can join one of 59 Chapters supporting local FBI Field Offices.

This Association plays a crucial role in promoting transparency, trust, and collaboration within communities by empowering alumni to continue their involvement in supporting the FBI’s mission and outreach priorities.

By working together, the Chapter and FBI Field Office can address local concerns, share vital information, and cultivate a sense of shared responsibility for public safety. This collaboration not only strengthens community relations but also empowers citizens to play an active role in crime prevention and safety efforts.

Ultimately, this partnership fosters a more informed, resilient public, enhancing the FBI's ability to fulfill its mission effectively while ensuring that community voices are heard and valued.
